Every One Deserves Respect
Elder Abuse Awareness Forum “A Call to Action”
June is internationally recognised World Elder Abuse Awareness Month and encourages community participation on a broad scale to draw attention to elder abuse.
The month reminds us that every older person has a wealth of lived experience to share, that all older people should be active participants in our community; we show our shared respect, value and love for our older family and friends.
To promote awareness and understanding of this issue, the Central Coast & Hunter Elder Abuse Collaborative is holding an information forum with speakers including the Elder Abuse Helpline Resource Unit, NSW Police, legal and capacity information & the launch of the collaborative.
Come along & become informed, and help bring an end to elder abuse in our community
