We offer in-home intensive parenting support to parents who are experiencing difficulty coping with their child’s / children’s behaviour.
The target age group for children is 0 to 8 years.
Each family is allocated an experienced parenting support worker who will work with the family for a negotiated period (usually up to 8 – 10 weeks).
Visits may total from 4 to 12 hours per week. Behavioural issues may include: parent/child conflict; problems at school; tantrums; defiance; bullying; learning concerns; low self esteem; sleep issues.
We also offer family support through less intensive in the Newcastle / Lake Macquarie area.
All referrals must be accepted by the lead agencies for the Brighter Futures program (see below)
This program is fully funded by the Dept of Community Services and there is no cost to client families.
