How can you help?
Volunteers are active and important members of the Mercy Services Team and provide a range of support to help clients and their carers/families. Volunteers assisting with palliative care support do so during a very difficult time in people’s lives. They aim to provide practical assistance and respite for carers or companionship to support the client during their end of life. This could be in the form of shopping or help with getting to appointments as well as providing a friendly ear for a cup of tea or coffee. Volunteers play an important role working alongside paid workers and health professionals.
